Microneedling

Microneedling is unique handheld device that administers controlled micro-injuries to the skin using tiny needles. These micro-injuries, in turn, cause the body to produce new collagen and elastin, resulting in a thicker epidermis. This helps to treat the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, and improve the skin’s texture, tone and color. The end result is soft, healthy, younger looking skin.

An extraction is the process of clearing a clogged or compacted pore. Comedones (blackheads) are the most common reason for extractions. A blackhead is not necessarily "dirt in the pores" as many people think. It is a pore that has become clogged with excess sebum and dead skin cells. The dark spot which is visible on the surface of the skin is oil which has oxidized and darkened on exposure to the air, like when you slice an apple and allow it to sit out for a while. Pustules and pimples can also be extracted, depending on their size and depth.

Our esthetician provides a relaxing facial massage to ease any tension that may have accumulated around the mouth, jaw, and temples. She then provides a detoxification of deeper tissues by performing manual lymphatic stimulation (MLS). MLS is a gentle, rhythmic massage that uses a circular motion over the lymph nodes to stimulate the lymphatic system, improving any puffiness or congestion.

A 15-minute treatment to remove vellus facial hair (aka “peach fuzz”) and provides a physical exfoliation to increase product penetration. This treatment can be done prior to any facial or peel to accentuate results from any treatment.

Melasma Laser Treatment

We can safely and effectively treat melasma with the Revlite® SI Q-switched Nd-YAG laser. Q-Switched lasers produce a special wavelength of light that is absorbed by pigmented lesions.  The light vibrates and shatters the pigment, breaking the melanin into micro-particles to be absorbed by the body without overheating the skin.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels improve cellular turnover and can correct a variety of skin issues resulting in healthy, hydrated, fresher and clearer skin. Peels address the visible skin imperfections that result from skin aging and sun exposure, such as fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone and texture. Peels improve skin tone unevenness that is caused by acne scarring or pigmentary changes.

Hand Rejuvenation

Hand aging is characterized by a loss of tissue volume and elasticity of the skin which can increase the visibility of tendons, veins, and bones on the back of the hand. Over time the skin on the hands, like all areas of the body, experiences a decline in the production of collagen and elastin, two proteins that help the skin stay plump and firm. Slowly, our elasticity declines as the tightly knot network of fibers under the skin begins to loosen. Years of exposure to UV rays and other free radicals can cause the skin on the hands to appear spotted, dull, wrinkled, and/or crepiness.
